Trieste Trasporti to manage bike sharing service until the end of the year <\/h1>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Starting from Thursday 25 March 2021, Trieste Trasporti took over the bike sharing service of the Municipality of Trieste. The contract has a duration of approximately 9 months and will end on December 31st.<\/p>\n

Reference point for the whole city, today the service has 12 cyclostations and 176 places in the rack, for a total of about a hundred bicycles.<\/p>\n

“The change of management unfortunately takes place in one of the most critical phases of the health emergency” explained Aniello Semplice, managing director of Trieste Trasporti “and avoiding unnecessary travel must be the only priority today: but we have equally considered, with a spirit of service, to accept the invitation of the Municipality, believing that bike sharing is an important asset for the territory, which we will be able to enhance as soon as the epidemiological framework allows it. And we will do it both from a tourist perspective and with possible forms integration with local public transport. For our part, we will guarantee the highest quality standards and the usual great attention to the customer, in the awareness that the concept of mobility is changing all over the world and, even at the local level, we must not lose step “.<\/p>\n

For users there will already be no changes related to the service or subscription, while there are three profiles that new users will be able to choose, designed according to their needs: an annual subscription dedicated to regular users, a profile for occasional users and , a novelty introduced just yesterday, a tourist profile that does not involve subscriptions and in which the rental lasts 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Trieste Trasporti, which today boasts one of the youngest and most ecological fleets in Italy, together with Arriva reaffirms its commitment to a green and sustainable mobility for the city of Trieste.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
