The Italian tour of “Caetano h2.city gold” starts from Trieste, in collaboration with Arriva Italia<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Arriva Italia – among the first operators in the sector of Local Public Road Transport present in FVG<\/strong> through Arriva Udine and Trieste Trasporti – hosts Caetano H2.City Gold in Trieste, and subsequently in Brescia – the hydrogen bus developed by the Portuguese CaetanoBus in collaboration with Toyota.<\/p>\n

CaetanoBus, part of the Toyota group, is the most important bus and coach manufacturer in Portugal, and uses technology, innovation and design to conceive and offer increasingly efficient and zero-emission vehicles on the market, so much so that it has already been in the electric transport market since 80s. This tour marks the first appearance of CaetanoBus’s hydrogen buses in Italy, a market considered strategic for the sector.<\/p>\n

The bus was presented during an event held in the Trieste Trasporti<\/strong> headquarters in via Caduti del Lavoro, during which the operation of the vehicle, the functions and characteristics of hydrogen as fuel was shown, and it was possible to carry out a test ride through the streets of the city. The Caetano H2.City Gold, equipped with Toyota Fuel Cell and co-branded with Toyota since last year, is a 12-meter city bus and offers a range of 400km, being able to match the range of conventional diesel buses. in a single charge.<\/p>\n

The vehicle has unprecedented environmental benefits, as all it emits is water vapor and it is 100% emission-free.<\/p>\n

“As reiterated recently in a study commissioned by Arriva Italia to The European Ambrosetti House and dedicated to mobility in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, the Region has a bus fleet that is newer than the Italian average but which now sees the need for investments in alternative propulsion vehicles to enable greater environmental sustainability<\/em> – explains Angelo Costa, CEO of Arriva Italia – The transition from carbon dioxide forms of power supply to green traction sources has now become fundamental. The planned replacement for the FVG of about 330 vehicles by 2026, of which 45% with alternative propulsion (electric, methane \/ biomethane and, albeit experimentally, hydrogen ) will make it possible to save up to 5,400 tons of CO2 \/ year, once fully operational, for the same kilometric distance”.<\/em><\/p>\n

“I particularly want to focus on the effort that the Infrastructure and Territory branch of the Region is making in order to create strong collaboration between all local public transport companies<\/em> – says Aniello Semplice, managing director of Trieste Trasporti – This strong synergy allows the creation of a common project, solid and robust in its fundamentals, which will certainly bring benefits throughout the region and on local public transport \u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Today’s event is part of the collaboration agreement between Arriva Italia and SNAM for the development of a series of projects starting from the new methane refueling station in Brescia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
