The annual conference of the Arriva Group, reserved for 180 senior leaders from the where the Group operates, took place in Rome from March 18th to 20th. The annual conference is aimed at discussing the Company’s strategy at the European level. The choice of Rome is also linked to Arriva’s presence in the territory: the company, in fact, manages the reserved school transportation service for disabled students in the municipality of Roma Capitale.<\/p>\n

This year, amongst the key topics discussed were the new challenges the whole sector faces in transitioning to zero emission vehicle technologies, while also pursuing long-term environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n

\u201cLooking at the future of public transport requires a shared vision and a common commitment, which is why occasions like this are fundamental, to exchange ideas, sharing of best practise and to hear testimonies of how we can converge toward the common goal of sustainable mobility. \u00a0<\/em>On the topic of sustainable mobility, during the panel “The voice of the client,” discussions involved not only Angelo Costa<\/strong>, Managing Director of Arriva Italy, but also Giulio de\u2019 Rossi<\/strong>, Area Manager of Roma Servizi per la Mobilit\u00e0 Srl, Umberto Magrini<\/strong>, head of B2B\/B2G for Enel X Global Retail, and Fabrizio Molina<\/strong>, General Secretary of Agens. Additionally, a welcome video message was delivered by Eugenio Patan\u00e9<\/strong>, town councillor for Mobility of Rome Capital, who particularly thanked Arriva and Enel X for their respective services in the Capital, specifically for disabled transportation and the electrification infrastructure in the city that promotes electric transport.<\/p>\n

“Rome is in the midst of a mobility revolution, both due to the upcoming jubilee year and thanks to the opportunities provided by the PNRR funds,”<\/em> stated Councilor Patan\u00e8. “The objective is to make the entire city’s mobility system widespread by focusing on intermodality and discouraging car usage. To this end, we are advancing initiatives such as the Green Zone and Congestion Charge, based on the principle that those who pollute should pay.” <\/em><\/p>\n
