SADEM: Valentina Astori is the new CEO

Angelo Costa is confirmed to the Presidency. Giuseppe Proto assumes the role of Vice President, on the occasion of his appointment as Director of Business Development of Arriva Italia.

Arriva Italia, the company that controls SADEM, has started a process of reorganization of its presence in Italy with the creation of new Departments related to business development and innovation. The reorganization also involved the presence on the territories with a rationalization of the positions in the operating companies. Giuseppe Proto has been appointed Director of Business Development of Arriva Italia and therefore SADEM, a company of the Arriva Group that manages local public transport services in Turin and the Province, has a new CEO from the group: Valentina Astori.

With more than 5 million passengers transported every year, 10 million buses / km operated, 200 vehicles and 300 employees, SADEM is one of the most important companies in the mobility sector in northern Italy. It is part of the Extra.To consortium, the single operator for transport in the Metropolitan City of Turin.

Valentina Astori begins her experience in the local public transport sector in Lombardy, first as technical director for SGEA, then holding the position of operating office manager at the SAI of Treviglio (BG). In July 2004, with the role of engineering auditor, he joined the Arriva Group. He then held various managerial and managerial roles in the Group companies and in 2015 became CEO of SAB Bergamo.

Valentina, in addition to being nominated new CEO of Sadem, becomes CEO of Savda (Aosta Valley) and Vice President of SAB Bergamo. In the North West, Sadem and Savda constitute a 15 million km hub, 450 employees and more than 300 buses.

In addition to taking on the role of Director of Business Development of Arriva Italia, Giuseppe Proto takes on the role of Vice President of SADEM and SAVDA. He also holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of Arriva Italia Rail and RAIL TO, Vice President of Extra.To and President of Arriva Veneto.
